Prayer Requests from Feb 6

PRAISES

Last week, we prayed for Crystal's co-worker, Beth, who had profound hearing loss in her right ear - she was without insurance and relies on her hearing for her job. She has gotten some of her hearing back! Keep praying that God fully heals her!

Crystal Roger's friend, Karen, asked us to pray for her sister, Crystal, who was looking for a job, well, God has provided her one in San Antonio! Keep praying for her as she adjusts to a new job and new city.

Melanie and Brad asked you to pray for Mel's brother and his wife - Kenny and Ashley. They bought a home and everything went well!

UPDATES

Crystal asked us to pray for her co-worker, Sarah . . .She and her husband are separated and, while in the father's care, their 18 month old daughter was found dead in her bed. Please pray for answers regarding the child's death, peace for this family, and that God will work in their marriage. . . . God has given some answers and it seems like the father is at fault. Please please pray for more answers to surface and for a blanket of peace to cover this family.

NEW this week

Crystal and Kiera have been home with the flu. Please pray for a speedy recovery and that the boys do not get sick, too!

A family that lives near the Steven's and Holbrook's are mourning the death of their husband/father. We only know the son's name is Dylan - one morning last week Dylan went to work with his dad and later on found him dead. He had hung himself. Please please pray for this little boy and the great effects this most likely had on him and will have on him for many years. And also pray for the rest of Dylan's family. We are going to try to get some more info about the family and send over a dinner to let them know we are thinking about them.

Laine and Abby's friends, Laura and Jarod DeGeorge, are trying to sell their home while Laura is there with a 2 year old and 5 week old and Jarod is in Tyler, Texas working.

Bill's dad, Kerry, is having to lay people off at his office in Kentucky and has also had to take a pay cut himself. Please be praying for the families effected by this and for Kerry, too!

Mike and Melissa would like prayer for their friends who are having some problems with their teenage children. Please pray that God would give their friends strength to ride out the storm and wisdom to know how.

Bill was laid off last Monday. God has been faithful in sending job opportunities our way and giving us a real peace through out the situation. Please pray that God will give us clear direction as to where He wants us to go. On the same subject, please pray for Bill's coworkers Phillip and Jamie - they were also laid off.

CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR . . .

Ruth sent out multiple job applications recently. Please pray that they get into the right hands and that she gets many job interviews that lead to job offers.

Melanie and Brad want to buy the home they are currently renting, but the landlord won't let them. Pray that for any reason she changes her mind and needs to sell them that house.

Abby's friend, Suzanne, wants prayer for her sister, Jennifer, and her husband. Jennifer's husband was transferred and living in Charleston while Jennifer is living and trying to sell their home in Georgia. One day, Jennifer's husband called and said he wanted a divorce. Please pray God's will is done in this situation.

The Holbrook's and Steven's neighbor, Chris, was recently laid off. Please pray that he finds work soon!

Brad's Aunt Lori has colon cancer and doesn't know the Lord, please pray that she is healed and, above all else, accepts Jesus has her Savior.

Brad and Melanie still own a house in Portland, although a friend is now renting it from them, please pray that it is sold soon!

Please keep President Obama in your prayers, along with the rest of America's leadership and government officials. Pray that God's will is done!

Laine would like you to pray for her sister, Melissa. Her life is a little crazy right now and she really needs to have a better relationship with God. Also, pray that her ex-husband, Marcus, gets out of her life by any means necessary!

Chris and Ruth and their family are moving into a new house over the next little bit. Please pray that everything goes well and that the process of moving isn't too painful or inconvenient.

Chris's sister, Jennifer, is in need of her eyes to be opened so she can see her husband, Bill, for what he really is - a scumbag. Bill is in prison for sexually assaulting a child and is scheduled for release on June 9, 2010. Bill is an emotionally abusive and controlling husband. Please pray that God works in Jennifer's life quickly, so she can move on without Bill before his release date.

Guest Request

Hey Everyone!

Daniel and I had a wonderful time visiting with everyone at dinner last Saturday and look forward to seeing each of you on Friday.

Speaking of Friday, I was wanting to know if I could invite my best friend, Karen, to our group this friday. She said that she would like to meet everyone....I kinda bragged about everyone...lol! She said that she was unsure that she could commit to every friday but I would really like for her to meet each of you.

She will most likely eat before coming. So no worries there, Ruth. She does have a four year old son that might come with her as well.

So, I guess leave your answer about Karen coming in the "comments" section. (This is my first time "blogging".....don't tell any one.....***wink*** wink! )

See ya soon,

Crystal

A Good Sign

Ruthie and I went to eat chinese tonight and we thought her fortune cookie was a great sign for things to come for Snamor. Here it is:

After moving stuff yesterday and being sore we almost didn't go to church last night. However, after a great service, then wonderful fellowship after with our extended family, we couldn't imagine why we even thought of skipping. We are so happy that ya'll have asked us to be a part of the group and we are looking forward to great things to come.
