Directions are on the website or you could just meet up at our house and we could all carpool/follow with each other over there. I planed on leaving around 9:15 am. We will get our own ref for the day and be able to play on our own private field without other people trying to shoot at us if we choose. The cost will be either $22 plus paint, $25 with your own gun Plus paint or $37 for all day play and all rental equipment and 500 paintballs each. Week 2 - Prayer Requests

PRAISES

Abby and Shane asked for prayer last week . . .

Abby and Shane have some home repairs to get done and are waiting for some insurance money to come their way. Please pray that the repairs are done right and quickly and that their insurance check is more than enough!

. . . well, they got their check and it is more than enough! Now they are waiting for the repairs to get started - keep praying for that!

Chris asked for prayer about his job . . .

Chris and his dad, Clay, would like prayer that work continues to come their way . . .

. . . well, he got some new opportunities this past week!! Keep praying for more jobs to come his way - specifically more YMCA jobs.

UPDATES

Crystal asked us to pray for her co-worker, Sarah . . .

She and her husband are separated and, while in the father's care, their 18 month old daughter was found dead in her bed. Please pray for answers regarding the child's death, peace for this family, and that God will work in their marriage.

. . . God has given some answers and it seems like the father is at fault. Please please pray for more answers to surface and for a blanket of peace to cover this family.

NEW this week

Crystal's co-worker, Beth, has profound hearing loss in one ear - she is without insurance and relies on her hearing for her job. Please pray that God restores her hearing and that He allows the drugs her doctor has given her to work.

Melanie and Brad want you to pray for Mel's brother and his wife - Kenny and Ashley. They are buying a home and really need everything to go through and to go smoothly.

Bill is concerned for his job security - please pray hard that God continues to provide work for his company and that Bill's boss see how valuable he is.

Ruth sent out multiple job applications out this past week. Please pray that they get into the right hands and that she gets many job interviews that lead to job offers.

Crystal's friend, Karen, had a couple requests for us to pray for - first, that her husband's heart continues to open to God. Second, her brother, Jeffery, and his wife, Judy, need prayer for their marriage. Third, please pray that her sister, Crystal, finds a job!

Melanie and Brad want to buy the home they are currently renting, but the landlord won't let them. Pray that for any reason she changes her mind and needs to sell them that house.

CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR . . .

Abby's friend, Suzanne, wants prayer for her sister, Jennifer, and her husband. Jennifer's husband was transferred and living in Charleston while Jennifer is living and trying to sell their home in Georgia. One day, Jennifer's husband called and said he wanted a divorce. Please pray that they are able to get together and work things out!

The Holbrook's and Steven's neighbor, Chris, was recently laid off. Please pray that he finds work soon!

Brad's Aunt Lori has colon cancer and doesn't know the Lord, please pray that she is healed and, above all else, accepts Jesus has her Savior.

Brad and Melanie still own a house in Portland, although a friend is now renting it from them, please pray that it is sold soon!

Please keep President Elect Obama in your prayers, along with the rest of America's leadership and government officials. Pray that God's will is done!

Laine would like you to pray for her sister, Melissa. Her life is a little crazy right now and she really needs to have a better relationship with God. Also, pray that her ex-husband, Marcus, gets out of her life by any means necessary!

Chris and Ruth and their family are moving into a new house over the next little bit. Please pray that everything goes well and that the process of moving isn't too painful or inconvenient.

Chris's sister, Jennifer, is in need of her eyes to be opened so she can see her husband, Bill, for what he really is - a scumbag. Bill is in prison for sexually assaulting a child and is scheduled for release on June 9, 2010. Bill is an emotionally abusive and controlling husband. Please pray that God works in Jennifer's life quickly, so she can move on without Bill before his release date.

Guest Request

Hey Everyone!

Daniel and I had a wonderful time visiting with everyone at dinner last Saturday and look forward to seeing each of you on Friday.

Speaking of Friday, I was wanting to know if I could invite my best friend, Karen, to our group this friday. She said that she would like to meet everyone....I kinda bragged about everyone...lol! She said that she was unsure that she could commit to every friday but I would really like for her to meet each of you.

She will most likely eat before coming. So no worries there, Ruth. She does have a four year old son that might come with her as well.

So, I guess leave your answer about Karen coming in the "comments" section. (This is my first time "blogging".....don't tell any one.....***wink*** wink! )

See ya soon,

Crystal

A Good Sign

Ruthie and I went to eat chinese tonight and we thought her fortune cookie was a great sign for things to come for Snamor. Here it is:

After moving stuff yesterday and being sore we almost didn't go to church last night. However, after a great service, then wonderful fellowship after with our extended family, we couldn't imagine why we even thought of skipping. We are so happy that ya'll have asked us to be a part of the group and we are looking forward to great things to come.

Plans for Next Week

Next Friday, January 23, we are going to study Romans 15:5-6. I'd like to challenge everyone to work on memorizing those two verses that so greatly sum up what we would like God to do in our group.

May the God that gives endurance and encouragement give
you a spirit of unity among ourselves as you follow Christ Jesus,
so that with one heart and mouth we may glorify the God and
Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 15:5-6

Also, Ruth and Chris are providing Chicken Enchilada Casserole and beans for dinner - Thanks guys, y'all are awesome!! If you would like to bring something to compliment dinner - like an appetizer, salad, dessert, or drink - either edit this post with what you plan on bringing or let me know and I'll pass on the word!

Can't wait to see everyone next week!!

##UPDATE##
Holbrooks will bring Guacamole and chips!! Can't wait till Friday!!

Snamor is Born!

Last night was so much fun - a little crazy with all the kids who were on sugar highs after snacking on the brownies left unsupervised on the table - but still super fun! We were surprised to learned that Daniel cooks, that Melanie would study forensics if she ever went back to school, and that Chris has never been embarrassed. We also got to know a little more about each other when we went around the room sharing our testimonies - thanks, Shane! We found out that Shane accepted Christ in college and (like many of us) had a little bit of a wild streak, that Bill (like many of us) grew up in a Christian household, and that Brad (like all of us) desires to be closer to God.

Here are some pics from our first night as a family . . .
